Ask Surface

The Ask Surface is the question-and-answer face of CueCrux: pose a question, get an answer whose citations are not decoration. Each cited claim opens the source it rests on, so checking an answer is a click, not a research project. This is live today on WikiCrux at wiki.cuecrux.com, the receipted knowledge hub where cited answers open their sources and the write plane is RCX-gated.

Underneath, the same discipline applies whether the question comes from a person or an agent. Retrieval runs through the Crux Daemon's tools, and every retrieval call carries a hard token budget that the daemon trims to fit. This is not a stylistic preference; it is the economics. On the open ScoreCrux memory benchmark (Delta corpus, 2M+ tokens, 3,346 docs; methodology at github.com/CueCrux/ResearchCrux), tool-mediated retrieval answered at near-identical quality on a fraction of the context tokens, and held 80-100% recall at 2M-token scale while stuffed-context recall collapsed to 8-28%.

Answers are receipted like everything else: the retrievals behind an answer are signed and hash-chained, so an answer can be traced, shared, and checked rather than taken on faith. Passports attribute questions and contributions alike; there are no anonymous writes.

The hosted fleet application extends the same surface to team workspaces and shared answer trails. That part lands with the launch gate; the local daemon and WikiCrux are usable today.
