Earn CRUX by contributing

CRUX is a participation credit (Credit Resource Unit eXchange), not a token or security. You earn it by adding real value to the evidence graph — with receipts, provenance, and fair rewards.

Earning CRUX (examples)

• +10 CRUX — Submitted link passes licence/provenance and is cited in a Quorum set.
• +1 CRUX / MB — Org-scoped upload committed and provenance-verified.
• +5× base — First-capture bonus for unique artefact hashes (licence OK, receipt valid).
• +10–30% of base — Derivative/refresh of near-duplicates (>=95% similarity) with improved metadata.
• +5 CRUX × reuse_count — Quorum reuse across domains (same-org damped).
• +15 CRUX — Successful audit receipt (provenance OK, no contradictions).
• +2 CRUX — Curate/Tag collections reused by others.

All rewards are logged with canonical_id and similarity lineage for transparency.

Duplicates & derivatives

• Exact hash match → no new mint; URL recorded as alias.
• Near-duplicate (>=95%) → new row with parent link and reduced bonus.
• Distinct (<95%) → eligible for first-capture reward.

Anti-gaming

• Mandatory licence/robots checks (ATAM compliant).
• Similarity detection suppresses spurious re-uploads.
• Same-org reuse damped by 50%.
• Throttles on first-capture submissions; WatchCrux audits duplicate rates.

Decay & storage

• Uploads unused ≥90 days: 10%/month decay on upload-earned CRUX.
• After 180 days: move to cold storage; rehydrate for 5 CRUX/GB.
• Link-only contributions never decay.
